Staff Sgt. Travis Stoufer, representing U.S. Army Pacific, disassembles the .50-caliber weapons in a seven-minute time period during the battle drills test Oct. 5, 2006. The test also included performance in the laws of war, handling of prisoners, foot marches, stabilizing and evacuating casualties, establishing communications and detecting IEDs. Stoufer, a military policeman with the 247th Military Police Detachment at Torii Station, Japan, is one of 20 NCOs and Soldiers competing at the fifth annual NCO and Soldier of the Year competition Oct. 2-6, 2006, at Fort Lee, Va. Stoufer is native to Liberty, Mo.
