Staff Sgt. Leon Presley, representing U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, disassembles and assembles the M240B machine gun in a three-minute time period during the battle drills test Oct. 5, 2006. The test also included performance in the laws of war, handling of prisoners, foot marches, stabilizing and evacuating casualties, establishing communications and detecting IEDs. Presley, unit supply specialist with HHC, 14th Military Police Brigade at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., is one of 20 NCOs and Soldiers competing at the fifth annual NCO and Soldier of the Year competition Oct. 2-6, 2006, at Fort Lee, Va. Presley is native to Lagrande, Ore.
