Spc. Edward Hull, representing U.S. Army Special Operations Command, helps stabilize a casualty before evacuation of the battlefield during the battle drills test Oct. 5, 2006. Part of the test was reaction to stress in the battlefield. Role players tired to distract Hull from performing his duties. The test also included performance in the laws of war, handling of prisoners, foot marches, establishing communications, assembling and disassembling weapons and detecting IEDs. Hull, a Chinook helicopter repairer with Company B, 2nd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Fort Campbell, Ky., is part of 20 NCOs and Soldiers competing at the fifth annual NCO and Soldier of the Year competition Oct. 2-6, 2006, at Fort Lee, Va.
