While a grader watches, Sgt. Brian Waddy, representing U.S. Army Forces Command, stabilizes a patient before evacuation during the battle drills test Oct. 5, 2006. The test also included performance in the laws of war, handling of prisoners, foot marches, establishing communications, assembling and disassembling weapons and detecting IEDs. Waddy, an intelligence analyst with HHB, 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, Fort Bliss, Texas, is part of 20 NCOs and Soldiers competing at the fifth annual NCO and Soldier of the Year competition Oct. 2-6, 2006, at Fort Lee, Va. Waddy is native of College Park, Ga.
