WELISARA NAVAL BASE, Sri Lanka (March 29, 2017) U.S. Marine Cpl. Benjamin Hartsell, a rifleman with Company B, Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 4th Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), provides cover for his squad during the patrolling portion of a military tactics training and exchange at Wellissara Naval base as part of a theater security cooperation (TSC) engagement, March 29. During the TSC, 11th MEU Marines are helping to shape the newly established Sri Lankan Marine Corps by demonstrating several vital skill sets such as: basic infantry skills, patrolling tactics, convoy operations, and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief procedures.
