WELISARA NAVAL BASE, Sri Lanka (March 29, 2017) Sri Lankan Marines conduct squad patrolling exercises during a military and tactics training and exchange between U.S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Sri Lankan Armed Forces, held as part of a theater security cooperation engagement at Welissara Naval Base, March 29. During the patrolling exercises, U.S. Marines presented the Sri Lankan Marines with unexpected scenarios in which they had to respond to simulated enemy contact as a squad.
