WELISARA NAVAL BASE, Sri Lanka (March 29, 2017) A U.S. Marine with Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 4th Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), demonstrates the proper application of a tourniquet to Sri Lankan Marines during the tactical casualty combat care portion of a military tactics training and exchange at Welissara Naval Base as part of a theater security cooperation (TSC) engagement, March 29. This marks the second engagement between the 11th MEU and Sri Lankan Armed Forces, following a previous TSC in November 2016, where Marines and Sailors embarked aboard USS Somerset (LPD 25) participated in maritime security operations at Trincomalee Naval Base.
