WELISARA NAVAL BASE, Sri Lanka (March 29, 2017) U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryan Walker, a hospital corpsman with Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 4th Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), runs alongside a Sri Lankan Marine performing a “fireman’s carry” on a simulated patient during the tactical casualty combat care (TCCC) portion of a military tactics training and exchange at Welissara Naval Base as part of a theater security cooperation engagement, March 29. During the TCCC training, Sri Lankan Marines participated in tactical training scenarios, provided by the 11th MEU Marines and Sailors, where they were tasked with rushing to simulated casualties, providing medical aid and tactically extracting them back to safety.
