WELISARA NAVAL BASE, Sri Lanka (March 29, 2017) A Sri Lankan Marine takes point of his squad during the patrolling portion of a military tactics training and exchange between U.S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Sri Lankan Armed Forces, held as part of a theater security cooperation engagement at Welissara Naval Base, March 29. Working with foreign militaries provides U.S. Marines and Sailors valuable training with warriors from another culture and builds camaraderie between partner nations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
