A U.S. Air Force airman and an Army soldier walk to a drop zone in the Zabul province of Afghanistan near FOB Lagman during the hands on portion of a Landing Zone Safety Officer class. Students were in the class to be certified to safely run the dirt landing and drop zone. The class was taught by U.S. Air Force instructors from Combined Joint Task Force 101, Headquarters Air Mobility Liaison Office.
