Personnel assigned to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) escort a casket during a disinterment ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii, Sept. 11, 2017. The ceremony was part of DPAA’s effort to exhume 35 caskets associated with the USS West Virginia, a battleship that sank during the attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941. The mission of DPAA is to provide the fullest possible accounting of our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Julian Temblador)
