170908-N-ME988-0121 TOULON, France (Sept. 8, 2017) Guests aboard the Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) serve themselves food prepared by the ship’s culinary specialists during a reception in Toulon, France, Sept. 8, 2017. The reception provided an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the U.S. and France. Carter Hall is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
