Pfc. Brandon Salamanca, a native of Medford, Oregon, and an infantryman assigned to 3rd Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, constructs a Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) during the communications portion of 1st Armored Division's 2019 Best Warrior Competition May 15 at Fort Bliss, Texas. Soldiers were assessed on their individual Soldier skills and knowledge through a series of tests and challenges set to distinguish the division's top junior enlisted Soldier and top Noncommissioned officer.
