Cpl. Zachary Holcomb, Amphibious Assault Vehicle crew chief with 2nd Amphibious Assault Battalion and currently attached to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, helps apply a new coat of paint to an original wrought-iron fence at the Raintree House, a home for teenage victims of abusive or neglectful families in the Garden District of New Orleans, April 19, 2012. The Marines repainted the fence during the community relations project as a way to give back to the community during their visit to New Orleans. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit is currently providing support to the commemoration of the Battle of New Orleans. Starting through April and continuing through 2015, the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard will commemorate the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner. The War of 1812 celebration with commemorate the rich Naval history and showcase the capabilities of today's Navy-Marine Corps team.
