    USS WASP (LHD 1)

Lance Cpl. John Kronner, assigned to Marine Expeditionary Unit 26, embarked aboard USS WASP (LHD 1), adjusts the scope of a Barrett 50 cal. sniper rifle for Simon Dawson during a tour aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) April 19 during Navy Week New Orleans where U.S. and coalition ships are participating in the War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration. The commemoration is a salute to all sailors and Marines who fought gallantly in that conflict, who have served in our nation's conflict since then and who are defending freedom around the world today.
