Rear Adm. Ann Phillips, commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 2, presents Cmdr. James Clarke, commanding officer HMCS St. John's, with a commemorative plate in honor of the ship's participation in the War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration during a reception onboard HMCS St. John's April 19. The commemoration of the bicentennial of the War of 1812 is a salute to all sailors and Marines who fought gallantly in that conflict, who have served in our nation's conflict since then and who are defending freedom around the world today.
