Sgt. David P. Bailey, senior intelligence analyst with 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, paints a wrought-iron fence at the Raintree House, a shelter for abused and neglected teenage girls in New Orleans, April 20, 2012. The Marines repainted the fence as a community relations project as a way to give back to the community during their visit to New Orleans. The 26th MEU is currently providing support to the commemoration of the Battle of New Orleans. Starting through April and continuing through 2015, the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard will commemorate the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner. The War of 1812 celebration with commemorate the rich Naval history and showcase the capabilities of today's Navy-Marine Corps team.
