In February 2022, storms in Sinjar kept residents inside and the North Electricity Department was out responding to up to 15 repair requests a day in order to keep the power running in homes, businesses, and essential services like hospitals.
USAID in partnership with Nadia's Initiative, provided two bucket crane trucks to help increase the speed of repairs.
