Staff Sgt. Nevin Gamble hands an Iraqi man a pamphlet to informing him how residents of Tall Afar can assist multinational and Iraqi security forces to stop terrorist activity in the area on Aug. 1, 2004. Gamble is a member of 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, one of three battalions from the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) that conducted joint operations in western Ninevah province. With support from Iraqi Security Forces, the operation was designed to neutralize insurgent and terrorist elements in the Tall Afar area.
