Pfc. Sean Clifton, from Sacramento, Calif., takes a knee after searching a house in Tall Afar, Iraq, on Aug. 1, 2004, during an early morning operation in the western Ninevah province city. During the operation, three battalions from the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) and three Iraqi National Guard battalions searched homes in Tall Afar to neutralize terrorist activity in the area and seize weapons that are being used against the people of Iraq. Clifton is a member of Company B, 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment.
