Iraqi National Guard soldiers and multinational forces search for weapons and unexploded ordnance on Aug. 1, 2004, in Tall Afar, Iraq, during recent operations in the western Ninevah province city. Three battalions from the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) and three Iraqi National Guard battalions conducted the joint cordon and searches in an effort to identify and eliminate terrorist activity in the northern region of Iraq.
