1st Lt Corey H Weil has had many accomplishments during his time in the Air Force. Weil revamped 70 projects for the FY24 Integrated Priority List by shifting towards targeted infrastructure re-investment resulting in a $11.5M project portfolio, which he briefed at the Installation Joint Facility Utilization Board. He also championed cultural fusion to increase project planning and execution efficiency of US and Qatari engineering teams, decreasing dig permit approval times by 50% saving seven days for 21 projects needing accelerated excavation. As Base Energy Manager, Weil choreographed an annual power outage for 35 critical facilities verifying backup energy with zero mission loss. He also audited a $23M quarterly utility bill and corrected $300,000 in false charges. Weil oversaw the payment of $8.7M in electrical bills and identified a discrepancy in the cost breakdown. As a result, Weil updated the ACSA procedure, ensuring coalition partners were charged fairly and saved the Air Force $325,500. He quarterbacked 16 dig permits while developing key relations with the Qatari Emir Civil Engineers resulting in a new procedure for host nation approval, allowing for 50% faster approvals and saving an average of eight days per permit. Weil bridged a communication gap between Base Energy Manager and the Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) by developing COR skill sets and capabilities, leading to zero operations interruptions during 35 power outages. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is the first Jewish Lay Leader in five years at AUAB, guiding a Jewish community composed of multinational members and leading weekly services and study sessions, cultivating the spiritual pillar of comprehensive Airmen fitness. Weil is the first to volunteer for difficult tasks and leadership opportunities and tackles problems with a positive attitude. He reinvigorates his team, his peers, and his leadership.
