SrA Marialys K Perez is an extremely motivated Airman that has consistently outperformed her peers since she joined the 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron. She identified deficiencies, recommended courses of action to flight leadership, and authored revisions for two-year out-of-date guides for the installation’s Shelter-in-Place and unit emergency management representative programs. Perez also compiled comments and implemented changes for the renewal of the Installation Emergency Management Plan, and ensured checklists were added into Command and Control, Incident Management, and Emergency Response Application (C2IMERA) for the wing to be ready for all-hazard responses. Additionally, she trained 141 disaster response force members, and developed an aircraft mishap tabletop exercise which maintained preparedness of the emergency operations center appointees. During a wing active shooter exercise, Perez effortlessly filled the Emergency Operations Center Manager position and was recognized as a superior performer by the wing’s inspector general office.
