TSgt Connor Finch is currently assigned to the 366th Training Squadron, Detachment 3, as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Instructor at Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal. Finch demonstrates exceptional performance as an Improvised Explosive Device Division Subject Matter Expert. He leads a team of four joint service Non-Commissioned Officers and 25 students daily through over 320 hours of high-risk training. Additionally, Finch serves as the Air Force Detachment’s lead Unit Fitness Program Manager for 38 Instructors and over 300 officer and enlisted students. In this capacity, he created and implemented a new 12-week strengthening and conditioning protocol and a revitalized trainee indoctrination program, which has led to a 99% “excellent” fitness rating for his unit. He was also handpicked for his expertise to support the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center in the development of two key scenarios and a grading rubric for the Southern Regional EOD Team of the Year competition, where he assessed and provided training feedback to 20 Air Force and Space Force teams in five Major Commands.
