170810-N-PF593-025 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 10, 2017) Capt. Buzz Donnelly, commanding officer of the Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), discusses future maintenance on the skin of the ship with Chief Warrant Officer Jason Roberts, the ship's boatswain, in a rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB). Sailors used the RHIB to maneuver Capt. Donnelly around the ship to document major rust locations after the ship conducted 85 days of strike group operations in the Western Pacific. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
