170917-N-DC385-145 PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 17, 2017) An MV-22B Osprey, assigned to the “Dragons” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced), disembarks from the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). The squadron’s disembarkation from the ship signals the end of the squadron’s final deployment with BHR as the ship is scheduled to turn over duties with the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) in winter 2018. Bonhomme Richard, flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance partnerships and be a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
