Jerrick Martinez, chief aviation structural mechanic, is congratulated by a member of the Chief's Mess at the conclusion of the chief petty officer pinning ceremony on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Forty-one chiefs received their first set of fouled anchors and chief's combination covers during the ceremony. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
