Justin Melton, chief aviation boatswain's mate (Fuels), stands at attention during a chief petty officer pinning ceremony held on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Melton went through the CPO induction training with the 41 newly pinned chiefs. Melton was pinned chief after he was named the Pacific Fleets Sailor of the Year for the year of 2007. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT are of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States" commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
