Tech. Sgt. Jerrod Walp of the 200th REDHORSE and Tech. Sgt. Kevin Ziehr of the 180th Fighter Wing squadrons from Ohio Air National Guard, and a member of the of the Chilean Army, Lt .Pincheira, use a rebar bender/cutter tool to cut the rebar that will be used to create a support frame for when the concrete gets poured on to the footings for the foundation of a new building. All of these members worked together despite the language barrier, while providing humanitarian aid to the people in Barahona, Dominican Republic. The effort being made is for the children of the local village so that they can have a new classroom at La Guaraza. The humanitarian mission, “Beyond the Horizon,” in Barahona, Dominican Republic will provide the locals, in several areas of the island, with two new clinics, two of which are medical and one dental clinic as well as two new classrooms for the schools.
