160816-N-WA993-210 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 16, 2016) Damage Controlman Fireman Tanner Bashnick, from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, performs an operation test on a saltwater sprinkler system in the aft aviation tire shop during Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) aboard the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The attached hose prevents the saltwater from flooding the space by draining it overboard. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
