Lt. Matthew McClure, a helicopter pilot with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 26 (HSC-26), leads in the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance kicking off an appreciation ceremony in Elkins, W.Va. The ceremony honored those who aided in the rescue efforts of a downed Navy MH-60 helicopter piloted by McClure on Feb. 18. All 17 crew members comprised of 11 Navy personnel, four National Guardsmen, and two Marines survived that night after an overwhelming rescue response from multiple West Virginia organizations.
