Navy Air Crewman 2nd Class Thomas Henry, of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 26 (HSC-26), stands with Lt. Greg Thomas and Lt. Kelly Bostian of the Shavers Fork Fire Department. Their fire department was just one of numerous organizations to play a part of the successful search and rescue of a downed Navy MH-60 helicopter on Feb. 18. All 17 crew members comprised of 11 Navy personnel, four National Guardsmen, and two Marines survived that night after an overwhelming rescue response from multiple West Virginia organizations. The appreciation ceremony was held March 10, allowing Navy leadership and four of the original crew members to thank the efforts of so many that night.
