Navy Aircrewman 3rd Class Ben Chellew of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Two Six (HSC-26) stand alongside Bill Jones, a Snowshoe Mountain Resort Operations employee who was one of the first responders part of the successful search and rescue of a downed Navy MH-60 helicopter on Feb. 18. All 17 crew comprised of eleven Navy, four National Guard, and two marines survived that night after an overwhelming rescue response from multiple West Virginia organizations.The appreciation ceremony was held March 10th allowing Navy leadership and four of the original crew members to thank the efforts of so many that night.
