YOKIJIDO ISLAND, Republic of Korea (Mar. 27, 2016) - Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Davonte Mccraven, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4 and an engineer from the Republic of Korea (ROK) Seabees construct control joints during the construction of a road project on Yokjido Island in the Republic of Korea for Exercise Foal Eagle. Control joints keep cracks from spreading across the concrete and allows these separate sections to expand and contract independently from each other. This paved road will shorten the distance of travel to connect 2,000 people more efficiently to exchange goods, services and improve economical growth.
