YOKIJIDO ISLAND, Republic of Korea (Apr. 10, 2016) - During the construction of a road project on Yokjido Island in the Republic of Korea, Builder 3rd Class Brian Hawkins, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, and a Republic of Korea (ROK) Seabee finish the surface of the road by smoothing the surface of wet concrete with a Darby float. Adding finishing touches such as this will create a smooth surface and give the road a high quality, professional look. The paved road will shorten the distance of travel to connect 2,000 people to more efficiently exchange goods, services and improve economical growth.
