YOKIJIDO ISLAND, Republic of Korea (Mar. 27, 2016) - Builder 1st Class Oscar Barba (middle) assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4 and Republic of Korea (ROK) Seabees discuss their standards of road construction to ensure that a high quality product is produced during Exercise Foal Eagle. The paved road will shorten the distance of travel to connect 2,000 people to more efficiently exchange goods, services and improve economical growth. Foal Eagle is a series of joint and combined field training exercises conducted by Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea component commands. Approximately 10,600 U.S. forces will participate in the exercise, with ROK forces from major ROK units representing all services also participating.
