Marines of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit prepare to drive amphibious assault vehicles out of the well deck of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown. USS Germantown, commanded by Cmdr. A.D. Hull, is currently underway with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit for Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral command post and field training exercise designed to maintain a high level of interoperability between U.S. and Australian forces.
