U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Trinadee Jones shows the propulsion auxiliary control console in the central control station to Royal Australian Navy sailors from the HMAS Darwin aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Cowpens during Talisman Sabre 2011. USS Cowpens and HMAS Darwin are operating together conducting unit-level training. Cowpens is forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan, and is underway in the U.S. Navy 7th Fleet area of operations. TS11 is a biennial combined training activity designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting Combined Task Force operations to improve Australian Defense Force/U.S. combat readiness and interoperability.
