NORFOLK, Va. (July 9, 2018) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Fuels) 3rd Class Storm Slaton, from Birmingham, Alabama, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) air department, receives his certificate of appointment to the rank of petty officer third class from Capt. Richard McCormack, Ford’s commanding officer. Slaton was promoted following his selection for the Meritorious Advancement Program.
