Jonathan Alejandro, a Peruvian combat engineer, and Builder 2nd Class Nicholas Fox, a U.S. Navy Seabee assigned to the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB 23), embarked on High Speed Vessel (HSV-2) Swift, carries a rafter for an elementary school roof in Zona De Acapulco as a part of HSV-Southern Partnership Station 2012. NMCB 23 embarked aboard Swift is working with Peruvian combat engineers from Base Naval De Callao and Brigada Infanteria De Marina De Ancon. The Seabees and engineers will spend three weeks refurbishing schools in the area. HSV-SPS is an annual deployment of U.S. Navy ships and assets to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean, Central and South America.
