Landis, a recruiting and retention specialist with Bravo Company, Recruiting and Retention Battalion, Pennsylvania Army National Guard poses for a portrait at the start of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s Best Warrior Competition at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, April 2, 2025.
"I am looking forward to pushing myself and making new friends and networks in the Pennsylvania National Guard," he said. "I joined the Pennsylvania National Guard to carry on the tradition of service in my family, the Guard has benefited me by now being able to give those benefits I have earned to someone else and watch them grow towards their military career. ."
Competitors are evaluated on their individual ability to adapt and overcome challenging scenarios and battle-focused events, which tests their technical and tactical abilities under stress and extreme fatigue.
