CHANGI NAVAL BASE, Singapore – Cpl. Frank Delacruz, a small arms repair technician with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, cuts a Marine’s hair aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 24, 2017. While maintaining Marine Corps standards preserves good order and discipline while deployed, which has a large impact on warfighting readiness and the ability to accomplish our missions, time spent in the barber shop builds camaraderie and cohesion amongst the Blue-Green team. Professionalism in what we do and how we do it is the cornerstone of Marine Corps values, and is even more important to the Marines and Sailors on the 15th MEU, physical appearance is no exception to that rule. The 15th MEU and America ARG Amphibious Ready Group are operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance partnerships and serve as a ready-response capability for any type of contingency.
