PACIFIC OCEAN – A CH-53E Super Stallion with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Aviation Combat Element lands on the flight deck aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), July 28, 2017. The CH-53E Super Stallion is the biggest aircraft in the Marine Corps arsenal providing it the ability to transport people and supplies, as well as other aircrafts and vehicles. The 15th MEU is deployed as a crises response and contingency force in the 7th Fleet’s area of operation, which spans more than 124 million square kilometers, stretching from the International Dateline to the India-Pakistan border and from the Kuril Islands in the North to the Antarctic in the South.
