PACIFIC OCEAN – Marines with 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Aviation Combat Element, conduct maintenance on an MV-22B Osprey aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 20, 2017. The Osprey is able to traverse the battle space twice faster and further than previous helicopters. The 15th MEU and America ARG are operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance partnerships and serve as a ready-response capability for any type of contingency.
