PACIFIC OCEAN – The amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) brings crates across a supply-line during a resupply-at-sea with the Military Sealift Command Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Wally Schirra (T-AKE 8), July 29, 2017. The 15th MEU Expeditionary Unit and America Amphibious Ready Group are deployed as a crisis response and contingency force in the 7th Fleet’s area of operation, which spans more than 124 million square kilometers, stretching from the International Dateline to the India-Pakistan border and from the Kuril Islands in the North to the Antarctic in the South.
