PACIFIC OCEAN – Petty Officer 2nd Class Juan Diaz, an aviation’s machinist mate with the America Amphibious Ready Group performs maintenance on an MH-60S Sea Hawk aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 20, 2017. The Sea Hawk’s primary mission is search and rescue, and the pilots and aircrew are ready to be airborne if need be. The 15th MEU and America ARG are operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance partnerships and serve as a ready-response capability for any type of contingency.
