CHANGI NAVAL BASE, Singapore – Marines and Sailors with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Sailors with America Amphibious Ready Group received an opportunity to talk to family and friends using their mobile phones aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 24, 2017, while in port supporting Arleigh-Burke guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56). With hard resolve and harder determination, the Marines and Sailor will soon push on, even more focused on the MEU’s operations. The 15th MEU and America ARG are operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance partnerships and serve as a ready-response capability for any type of contingency.
