Runway 05/23 at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort officially opened Aug. 2 after the completeion of maintenance to the landing surfaces. The goal of the maintenance, which began in March, was to improve the landing surfaces so the pilots can operate on the most structurally sound runway, enhancing mission accomplishment.
