    MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (July 12, 2016)--U.S. Navy Sailors with Beach Landing Unit 5, Detachment Delta, set up their station prior to a Landing Craft Air Cushion loading exercise at Landing Zone Westfield aboard Marine Corps Air Station, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, July 12th, 2016. The LCACs assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5 are transporting U.S. Marine Corps equipment to USS San Diego so that it may be shipped to Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii, in support of Provisional Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Hawaii. Twenty-six nations, 49 ships, six submarines, about 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC 16 from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships between participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
