PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 1, 2016) Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 21 Commodore Rob Chadwick speaks during his change of command ceremony held in USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) forecastle while the ship is operating off the coast of Hawaii, Aug. 1. During the ceremony, Capt. Henry C. Adams relieved Chadwick to become the 55th DESRON 21 Commodore. DESRON 21 oversees the operations of eight Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and is currently embarked with the John C. Stennis Strike Group. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, John C. Stennis is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment.
